The oldest polo club in the south of France

Founded by Alain Girard in 1974, Saint Cannat offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere for both local and visiting players.The club caters for complete beginners as well as experienced players and is very proud of its unique facilities, which permit polo on well-maintained grass fields all year round.

Saint Cannat is ideally located, only fifteen minutes from Aix en Provence, half an hour from Aix TGV station and forty minutes from Marignane airport.

Thanks for an excellent week at St. Cannat. Things were well organized, the atmosphere was relaxed, the fields were in good shape, and it was good for my riding to be able to try half a dozen different horses for chukkas. Most importantly, Olivier’s teaching was excellent. He is able to see bad habits right away, whether in the hitting cage or on the field, and not only correct them but explain why the right way works better. Intelligent coaching not just shouting instructions! Enjoyable and good value for money. I look forward to coming back.

A Fantastic week was had by all at St Cannat Polo club. We really enjoyed the tuition provided by Olivier and our polo has come a long way during the week. The horses were beautiful and really well schooled which made the experience even better. The area surrounding the polo club is very picturesque with Aix en Provence a short drive away and the village of St Cannat within walking distance. We would all highly recommend a trip to St Cannat Polo Club and look forward to returning in the future!

Olivier is an absolutely phenomenal individual… his abilities as an instructor, rider and player are like no other. He has the accuracy to see flaws in your game and gently correct your movement and recommend changes to improve your game which is like no other I’ve ever been with.
